The Afterschool Program at Babcock

We are very pleased to announce that our afterschool program, A+ Care at Babcock, began on Monday, November 2. We will begin our program each day at 3:30 and end at 6 p.m.

Providing children and our neighbors with a safe and enriching program that offers tutoring, Christian education, recreation, arts & crafts, and support for families in a nurturing environment.

We aim to provide high-quality care for elementary age children at the conclusion of the school day. We’re striving to not only remediate the academic needs of the children we serve, but also help them develop a dynamic, life-long relationship with Jesus Christ and become all that He created them to be. An integral part of this program is to assist children in learning to respect themselves and each other, to learn to distinguish between right and wrong, and learn to be cooperative.

    Spiritual Curriculum

    Children will receive daily spiritual instruction focusing on the teachings of Jesus Christ and be able to apply those teachings to daily life activities.

    Academic Tutoring

    We will provide reading and math tutoring four days a week in order to strengthen or remediate skills.

    Organized Activities

    We will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to express themselves, while engaging in various age-appropriate activities.

While the spiritual curriculum may incorporate various mediums to assist in instruction, other activities will be planned on Fridays to culminate the week in the form of music, recreation, arts &crafts, and drama. Having a larger block of time at the end of the week will afford the children more time for creativity, staging, and production.

We will use this time to celebrate the accomplishments of the children in the afterschool program. Parents will be encouraged to view special presentations and related art work created by their children.

  • Fee: $50 per week. Assistance will be provided for families in need.
  • Our program will follow the Baltimore County Public School calendar
