Hi Middle and High School LCF students!
Spring has sprung! Almost time for celebrating the resurrection of Christ. With spring comes the warmer weather and all that goes with it (fun games on the lawn on Sunday evenings and maybe even an egg hunt).
Just a little update on what’s happening for April and May.
Many of you have expressed interest in confirming your faith in Christ. This is an exciting time in your faith journey and we look forward to celebrating with you on Confirmation Sunday, May 31, 2009. Pastor Janet Jones will teach a confirmation class on Sunday mornings at 10 am in the Heritage space (off of fellowship hall) beginning April 19th through May 31st.
I hope that you have all been enjoying Mrs. Pearson’s Lenten Sunday school series. It will continue until Easter. Sunday school for high school students will again meet with Josh and Harry in the gym beginning on April 19th. For the month of April, those middle school students who are not participating in confirmation are welcome to sit in with Pastor Jones or join the high school students in the gym until Cathy is back to teaching in early May.
Just yesterday we had a blast playing “keep away” on the lawn with our giant rubber ball. The more the merrier! A schedule of Sunday night activities for April and May is on the back of this letter. Thanks to Josh for his great idea; we will have “video game night” this Sunday, March 29th.
Finally, middle and high school students from all of the Presbyterian churches in the Baltimore area will be gathering for Youth Rally Day on Saturday, April 25th at Towson Presbyterian Church. Stay-tuned for details.
