Administration, Stewardship & Planning Team
|
This ministry coordination team integrates the ongoing operations of our church with our stewardship, budgeting, and strategic planning activities. The AS&P Team oversees special projects, as directed by Session, such as running the annual stewardship drive, managing the operating budget, overseeing the Vision campaign, and working with an architect to plan and coordinate our upcoming building renovations.

Worship Team:
|
This team provides an environment that enables people of all ages and backgrounds to praise and experience the presence of God on a personal level.

Christian Education/Faith Development Team
|
Programs for both youth and adult studies nurture personal faith development and the spiritual journey of discipleship, by increasing the life of Christ in our community through experiences of God's Word and Spirit.

|
|
Outreach Team:
|
This team takes the love of Christ from our church family to our community and beyond.
|
|
|
|
|
Shepherding Team
|
This team helps bring Christ to people by empowering members to develop a deeper commitment to our Lord, and then share their love of Christ with others through serving, listening, and telling the Good News.

|
Communications Team
|
This ministry coordination team works with task leaders, boards, and teams to improve the information flow within our ministry areas. It is a strategic resource to transform the culture of communication at Babcock, both internally and externally, to the end that all boards, teams, and members take personal responsibility for communicating effectively among themselves and with those outside our church.

Nominating Team

This team seeks out the leaders for the church.

Hospitality Team
|
This team promotes celebration amidst discipleship in our church community.

Ad Hoc After-School Team
|
This team is now in the planning stages of establishing
an after-school care program for students, working in conjunction with Pleasant Plains Elementary School.

|
Governing Boards |
|
|
Session
|
The Session is the elected governing board of the congregation whose members are ordained, ruling elders. They are called by God, through the church, to be our spiritual leaders.
|
|
|
|
|
Deacons
|
Deacons are ordained to minister to the sick and anyone else who needs God's love through visitation, prayer, and friendship.
|
|
|
|
|
Trustees
|
The Trustees are the legal entity by which the church may enter into contracts, subject to the guidance and instruction of Session. Duties include stewardship of our physical property, maintenance activities, insurance, physical plant and grounds upkeep, counting and reporting offerings and other income, and physical security.
|
|
|
