Our New A+ After School Program is Off to a Great Start!
The A+ Care program is now officially licensed and opened its doors to children the week of November 2nd. Because of the mid-term start-up, we are currently small in number, but mighty in Spirit! The response so far from children, their parents, and our staff has been extremely positive! We hope to increase enrollment after the holidays as the news spreads about the quality of this dynamic new program. The A+ Care at Babcock program operates M-F from 3:30 to 6 p.m. during the school year and offers families a warm, nurturing, educational, and spiritually-centered environment for elementary school students. Spread the Word!

Outreach Update
All Teams and Boards! It’s that time again! The end of the calendar year means it is time for everyone to be thinking about their Annual Report contributions. The Annual reporting process is a great way to review what has been accomplished by your team over the past year, and to share thoughts about your upcoming plans. Your contributions become a permanent part of out church records and become an important aspect of our church’s history!
While you can share as much or as little as you want, a good guideline is one-page typed. You can e-mail your contribution to office AT babcockpc DOT org or give a hard copy to Lindsay in the church office. Our deadline is Sunday January 10th so we can produce the report in time for the Annual Meeting. Thanks for your inputs!

Afterschool Program coming to Babcock.
Started in the Fall of 2009! Babcock is providing children and our neighbors with a safe and enriching program that offers tutoring, Christian education, recreation, arts & crafts, and support for families in a nurturing environment.
We aim to provide high-quality care for elementary age children at the conclusion of the school day. We’re striving to not only remediate the academic needs of the children we serve, but also help them develop a dynamic, life-long relationship with Jesus Christ and become all that He created them to be. An integral part of this program is to assist children in learning to respect themselves and each other, to learn to distinguish between right and wrong, and learn to be cooperative.

Fellowship Hour between services in Fellowship Hall
Each Sunday, you can plan on joining with your family and friends from both services for a time of fellowship in the newly renovated Fellowship Hall. Coffee, tea, juice and goodies are available, providing an opportunity to chat and exchange news of the week. Each month, one of our church teams or boards will join with the Outreach team in hosting this activity. We hope first service folks will plan to stay, and second service folks will come early to get to know each other! Special thanks to Sue and Jim M. for their ongoing efforts to coordinate this ministry.

Request from Scout Troop 701:
The troop collects aluminum cans to support their activities. Cans may be dropped off on Sundays by the recycling bin by the kitchen in Fellowship Hall; or call Kerry Hartline (contact the church office for his phone number.) to arrange for cans to be picked-up from your home.
